Dekalb, a restaurant with a community driven vision, gets design help from Demolition Depot

When Mark and Stefan Fahrer and Ras Levi wanted to design a restaurant around architectural artifacts they turned to family friend and owner of Demolition Depot and Irreplaceable Artifacts, Evan Blum. Dekalb, in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, is a testament to what can be achieved when reclaimed materials are used to create a beautiful and inviting interior space. Demolition Depot provided everything from the flooring in the bar and dining areas to windows, which were re-purposed to cover the walls and ceilings, to dining tables and chairs and even glassware.
